For the next seven days, try this!

Find a piece of paper. Write these six words on it:

What can you do about that?

Put it in your pocket.

For the next week, when your child asks you a question, needs help with something you want them to accomplish on their own, or is complaining…

Say, with loving kindness, just those six words to your child.

If you need help resisting a bigger response, pull the paper out of your pocket.

Of course, consider the situation.

But, if it is possible to say those six words (and it usually is), do it!

What can you do about that?

Resist the urge to say more.

Remain in the calm, consistent leader mindset.

Notice what happens…
